LA MER with Chor Al’Mans in France
Julia is pleased to announce that her work La Mer, for mixed chorus a cappella, to five poems of Charles Baudelaire, will have its premiere as an entire cycle in Le Mans, France under the direction of Pierre Maucourt. Soprano Elisabeth Jehle and organist Marius Schwemmer gave me a lovely and inspiring composition commission. My Kleine Messe will be premiered on August 15. 2026 at 8pm in the Hauskapelle Heilig Geist in the Spectrum Kirche in Passau, Germany.

Night of the Choirs
Friday, 26 June, 2026 at 11PM Münster in Constance, Germany The director of the Night of the Choir in Constance, Michael Auer, commissioned me to write a piece for the final concert of the night. Ein Ton am Rhein (A Tone along the Rhine), to a poem by Tanja Kummer, will be premiered by all participant choirs under Michael Auer’s direction. Earlier in the evening, at 8, 9 and 10PM, I will conduct songs about peace and freedom with the Neuwerkchor Konstanz in the Wolkensteinsaa


SUMMER OF FEMALE COMPOSERS IN FÜRTH, GERMANY

Choir concerts with BLECH - The Sun, the Moon and the Stars
Saturday, 6 June, 2026 at 8PM & Sunday, 7 June, 2026 at 11AM Aula Sandbänkli, Bischofszell, Switzerland Saturday, 13 June, 2026 um 8PM Kulturform Amriswil, Switzerland I have been conducting BLECH, the Bischofszell Teacher’s Chorus, since March 2025. In this concert we will perform songs in four languages and three musical epochs: Madrigals from the late Renaissance, songs the German and French Romantic period, as well as American jazz standards and songs from Musicals.


Swiss Children’s and Youth Chorus Festival: Festival Concert III
Friday, 15 May, 2026 at 4.30 PM Eissporthalle in Romanshorn, Switzerland The director of this festival gave me a commission for a piece for this year’s event. Mir sind jung (We are Young), to a poem by Tanja Kummer, will be premiered by the youth chorus vocanto of the Music School of Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
