The director of the Night of the Choir in Constance, Michael Auer, commissioned me to write a piece for the final concert of the night. Ein Ton am Rhein (A Tone along the Rhine), to a poem by Tanja Kummer, will be premiered by all participant choirs under Michael Auer’s direction. Earlier in the evening, at 8, 9 and 10PM, I will conduct songs about peace and freedom with the Neuwerkchor Konstanz in the Wolkensteinsaal.
